Born and raised at the base of Mount Kilimanjaro, surrounded by nature, how could he not become enthralled by wildlife and what it had to offer? Elly has a genuine love for nature and steadfast passion to conserve it. As a child of Mount Kilimanjaro, he followed in the family tradition to become a guide to help share and conserve the nature around him. Being smart and gregarious, he loves meeting new people and making new friends along the climb. There is no better place for Elly to be than on Kilimanjaro trekking interpreting the magic of the Mother Nature.

Elly Anase and his KiliDreamers crew are into their second decade of guiding adventurers from around the globe up the slopes of Kilimanjaro and Meru, and across the plains and forests of Tanzania’s world-famous national parks.

Elly earned his Certificate of Wildlife Management and Tour Guiding in 2000. In the following years he worked as a rescue and retrieval specialist on Mount Kilimanjaro with the Tanzania National Park Service. He is trained in first aid and emergency rescue techniques specific to mountain conditions.

In 2004 he became a Park Ranger at Kilimanjaro… a protector of the place and its plants and animals, and a keeper of scientific and local ecological knowledge.

Elly became a Tour Guide in 2007, and he has now conquered Kili more than 200 times. He is passionate about sharing the experience and his knowledge, along with all the other wonders that his homeland has to offer.

All Kili Dreamers’ crew members are Tanzanian locals who share Elly’s passion for making every climb and safari a once-in-a-lifetime experience. They are enthusiastic and highly experienced, and committed to making your adventure a dream-come-true
